Stranded Deep Stranded Deep is an Action-Adventure, Survival Crafting Game, Explore Craft Survive Escape. If you like crafting experiences like Minecraft, 7 Days to.
In Stranded Deep, you take the role of a plane crash survival victim stranded in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. You have sharks, deserted islands, and shipwrecks. This survival game has some of the most stunning graphics. In fact, that is probably one of the best aspects of this game: the breathtaking graphics. The sunsets and the moonlight that shines off the ocean are like living in paradise. It leaves you saying, 'Wow!' The audio is also good, but it has pretty much everything that you might expect. For example, you have the sound of the ocean waves and the pelicans and other noises that you might hear on an island. The music is good, and whenever a shark appears from the water, you will start to hear this intense music that implies danger.
The combat on Stranded Deep can feel somewhat repetitive after a while. You crash into an environment that creates about six islands, and you have to venture out and survive. You will build a home and search among shipwrecks for survival materials. The game also lets you go fishing with a spear, which can be pretty interesting. The problem with the game is that you can eat all the fish raw, which makes setting up a fire seem like a waste of time. The only thing that you need to cook is crabs. However, if you do not cook them, you just vomit a bit and then it is over. There is no real incentive because it's not like you will die.
Stranded Deep was intended to replicate a real-life survival situation. It does have the elements of a good game, but there is more work that needs to be done. It should have more enemies. There are not really too many glitches in the game, except the occasional one. Occasionally, you will have trouble picking up your raft or the fish will glitch and stay on your screen, but that is it for the glitches.
The crafting in the game badly needs more items. Considering that survival games are often based on the materials that you can craft, Stranded Deep does not offer much for crafting items. You can craft weapons, an ax, a hammer, and a knife. You can also build a bed or a shelter, but they are uninspiring to say the least. Because the only real enemies are the sharks, you do not have a need for a shelter because nothing will attack you in the night. The resources in the game are scarce, and you will only find them in the sea of sunken ships. That means that you will have to go diving, which can be a pretty stressful task. You never know where your next nightmare will appear from. Overall, the game has a feeling of not being complete and needing more conflict.
Pros
- Picture-perfect graphics
- Excellent sound
Stranded Deep Xbox One
Cons
- Needs more conflict
- Should have bigger islands with cliffs and forests for more resources
- Not enough danger
Stranded Deep Guide
To survive in Stranded Deep, you need to keep a close eye on your vitals. Health is one of these major vital statistics, and as expected, allowing your health to drop too far will result in death. However, Stranded Deep doesn’t feature any kind of health potions or quick cure-alls. To stay alive, you’ll need to know how to heal yourself.
Gaining Health in Stranded Deep | How to Heal
The only way to heal in Stranded Deep is by refilling your health meter. Health can be regained once your vitals in hunger and thirst are filled by eating and drinking. After you’ve been adequately fed, and assuming you aren’t being hindered by negative status effects, you’ll begin to heal over time.
Stranded Deep Updates
The health system in Stranded Deep is based around realism, so this process follows simple logic. By checking your vitals through the Survival Watch, you’ll be able to monitor your current condition. Health, hunger, thirst, and sleep are all represented by individual meters. If hunger or thirst drop too low, you’ll be unable to regain health.
How to Get Your Health Up
Fortunately, getting your health up is as easy as fulfilling your basic needs. Eating food raises the hunger meter, which represents overall satiety. Similarly, drinking water raises the thirst meter, which corresponds to hydration levels. You need both of these to be at or above four bars in order to start regaining health and raise your heart meter.
However, it is not possible to heal if you’re stricken by any negative status effects. These include statuses such as poison, sunstroke, and illness in addition to starvation and dehydration. Poison and sunstroke are particularly dangerous conditions, and must be cured as quickly as possible in order to become healthy again.
Health in Stranded Deep can only be refilled once your basic needs are met. You’ll begin to heal as soon as you’ve consumed enough food and water to refill your vitals. Otherwise, starvation and dehydration can kill you in only a matter of days.
